Ben & Dom
'Hares On The Mountain'
for our afternoon of Wild Singing
July 10th 2-6pm (NEW DATE!)
July 11th 2-6pm
Due to tickets flying off the shelves for 11th July, we've added a new date. Tickets are now available for Saturday 10th July as well.
Join us for a gentle afternoon of walking & singing.
We’ve found a lovely spot just south of London ideal for stretching those legs and reclaiming our voices after months in lockdown.
We’ll amble up a hill, get lost in the woods and sing songs along the way. This round trip will take us into nature and bring us together in song.
£22.50 full price
Meet: Coulsdon South (national rail) 1.45pm (we leave at 2pm)
Return: We aim to be back at Coulsdon South around 6pm
Route: We will be walking ~5km including some ups and downs. We will move at a sensible pace and stop along the way to sing, rest & take in the surroundings. (If you have concerns about the terrain or the route get in touch.)
Bring: Come prepared for the weather, including suitable footwear, coat, water & snacks.
There will be a toilet stop on the way / way back
Ben & Dom are experienced community choir leaders and used to working with a range of singing abilities. You don't need to be a regular singer or choir go-er to come along and explore your voice with us.
We’d like this to be an adventure so we don’t want to give too much away, however if you have any concerns or queries please feel free to contact us for more information.
'The Quiet Joys of Brotherhood'
By Richard Fariña
‘The Quiet Joys of Brotherhood’ is a beautiful poem by Richard Fariña which he later set to the tune of an Irish air. The song asks us to imagine a better world, where we are kinder to nature and to each other, and where “love is lord of all”.
'Children of Darkness'
Filmed in the later stages of the 2020 lockdown in Sydenham Hill Woods, south London
'Cobweb of Dreams'
Joy Masefield & Leon Rosselson
This song was bought to our attention by the late and great Roy Bailey.
By Allred & Broderick
A song about kindness.
