Wild Singing with Ben & Dom

    July 10th 2-6pm (NEW DATE!)

    July 11th 2-6pm

Due to tickets flying off the shelves for 11th July, we've added a new date. Tickets are now available for Saturday 10th July as well.

Join us for a gentle afternoon of walking & singing.

We’ve found a lovely spot just south of London ideal for stretching those legs and reclaiming our voices after months in lockdown.

We’ll amble up a hill, get lost in the woods and sing songs along the way. This round trip will take us into nature and bring us together in song.

    £22.50 full price
    £16.50 concessions

Spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. We don’t want finances to be a barrier, please get in touch if you need an alternative arrangement.

Meet: Coulsdon South (national rail) 1.45pm (we leave at 2pm)
Return: We aim to be back at Coulsdon South around 6pm
Route: We will be walking ~5km including some ups and downs. We will move at a sensible pace and stop along the way to sing, rest & take in the surroundings. (If you have concerns about the terrain or the route get in touch.)
Bring: Come prepared for the weather, including suitable footwear, coat, water & snacks.
There will be a toilet stop on the way / way back

Ben & Dom are experienced community choir leaders and used to working with a range of singing abilities. You don't need to be a regular singer or choir go-er to come along and explore your voice with us.

We’d like this to be an adventure so we don’t want to give too much away, however if you have any concerns or queries please feel free to contact us for more information.

    'The Quiet Joys of Brotherhood'

    By Richard Fariña

‘The Quiet Joys of Brotherhood’ is a beautiful poem by Richard Fariña which he later set to the tune of an Irish air. The song asks us to imagine a better world, where we are kinder to nature and to each other, and where “love is lord of all”.

    'Children of Darkness'

    By Richard & Mimi Fariña

Filmed in the later stages of the 2020 lockdown in Sydenham Hill Woods, south London

    'Cobweb of Dreams'

    Joy Masefield & Leon Rosselson

This song was bought to our attention by the late and great Roy Bailey.

    'The Ways'

    By Allred & Broderick

    A song about kindness.

  • Ben & Dom

Ben and Dom are a singing duo. Ben takes the high notes, and Dom takes the low notes. They began singing together in June 2019, after collaborating with Daylight Music at the Union Chapel.

There isn’t much material out there for two unaccompanied male voices so Ben and Dom have been digging up and reinventing old folk songs, but also finding new songs and undiscovered gems to expand the repertoire. Their next step is to start penning songs of their own to add to the catalogue.

Ben and Dom are also experienced choir leaders and community musicians, and have been sharing their love of group singing for many years. The two met through the community choir scene, and are passionate advocates for singing and the positive effect it can have on our lives.

Ben and Dom are available for performances and to lead singing workshops at events, festivals and gatherings of all shapes and sizes - from open fields to concert halls. Please feel free to get in touch for more information.
